We are a group of Estes Park community volunteers who want to help our local kids make good choices and avoid alcohol, other drugs, and tobacco.  Please take the time to read about us on this website, then join us!

PaCK, Inc., is a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation, which sponsors youth programs and activities by accepting public and private contributions, gifts, grants and donations.  Estes Park PaCK was organized and formed in 1988 to provide a service to youth, their parents and guardians. That service is alcohol and drug education and prevention together with support of youth activities and youth in general in the community.

PaCK sponsored or supported programs include -

  • Adopt-A-School (community service organizations "adopt" a local Estes Park School and support that school through various activities)
  • Motivational Speaker Program (schedule and fund guest motivational speakers for school assemblies)
  • Scholarship Program (resource and award monetary scholarships to one or more graduating seniors)
  • Middle School Dances (chaperoned dances for grades 6-8)
  • After Prom (activity for high school juniors and seniors following the annual prom)
  • Teen Power and Kid Power programs
  • Red Ribbon Week and ADDY (Alcohol, Drunk Driving and You) Week
  • ECHO (Every Child Has Options) program (replaced DARE program)
  • Health fairs at the schools
  • "Facing Reality" forums and other opportunities to link community resources with youth
  • Other programs as initiated by PaCK working committees

PaCK is organized with a board of directors consisting of parents/guardians, students, and other school and community members. Working committees are basic to the successful planning and accomplishment of PaCK's programs and activities. Participation on at least one committee by each member of PaCK is essential. PaCK's working committees are -

  • High School Committee
  • Middle School Committee
  • Intermediate and Elementary Schools Committee
  • Community Resources Committee
  • Scholarship Selection Committee

You may call (970) 586-8189, leave a message, and someone will get back to you. You may also write a note and mail it to our post office box, use the contact information on this web site, or ask at the school office for someone from PaCK to contact you.  PaCK does not have a membership fee but we ask for a donation of Five Dollars or more per family to help defray newsletter costs. This allows PaCK to dedicate its resources to youth activities and programs.
